Celebrate World Book Day

The 4th March is World Book Day, why not celebrate by by setting up a Book Club?
You can set one up at work, or maybe with a group of friends?
Not every workplace has a staff room, so why not take it in turns to hold meetings in each other's homes? Make it a social occasion, as well as bringing a book everyone could bring a cake?
Book clubs are an excellent way of reading books that you may not normally read or choose. Each person in the group takes a turn at choosing a book for the group to read, then 4-6 weeks later the group gets back together again to discuss the book. The discussion doesn't have to be a great big intellectual discussion, it can simply be about whether you enjoyed the book and why. The best sort of books are the ones that divide the group.
I have been a member of a book club for a few years now and there have been maybe one or two books that everyone liked and even one or two that everyone disliked! Usually the group I am in is divided in it's opinion on the book.
If you're stuck for ideas for books , try your local library? Many libraries run book clubs or the librarians can point you in the direction of some suitable books?
If it's your turn to choose, why not pick your favourite book, it doesn't have to be a newly published book. There are many second hand book sites and again your local library, that's if another member of your book club doesn't beat you to a copy!
